On Tuesday 7th May I had the privilege to run 7km with Andre. I met him at the Buxton road turnoff south of Childers. I will say, highway running is not for the faint hearted, but Andre took it in his stride waving to all the truck drivers (professionals he calls them), and anyone else who gave him a motivational 'toot' along the way. I had the chance to push Intrepid II along the highway and up one hill. Currently it's not fully loaded, only 60kg's, but that's still enough to get the heart racing, blood pumping and sweat dripping. We had a great conversation about lot's of different things, not just running! He is an inspirational person, and I am motivated by him and his wives (Morag) future plans after he finishes his run. In the evening, Andre was our guest at the motel and we prepared him a meal to get him back on the road the following day. Andre is running for many great causes. Take a look at his website (https://runaroundaustralia.com/) and put your hand in your pocket if you can for one of the great charities he is supporting. Nicole and I wish you all the best on the rest of your journey and are happy that we could help in a small way.
